I intend to place her in a scene...possibly with the obligatory 20 foot robot guardian or something. Might re-design her costume a little too -add some dirt etc.

Daft Punk are french musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. Here they are moonwalking round a turntable, floating through space. The image developed from an idea I had to use some older models that I had never put to good use and to practice some hard-edged modeling techniques. I intend to complete a second version (actually the original idea) some time soon, as a companion piece . Hard edged stuff created in Maya, sculpted and warped in zbrush. Textures and post work in Photoshop. Comments ant crits most welcome

Everyone's favorite French electro-funk space robots are back -This time racing dodgems around on their interstella turntable. The second of my Daft Punk series, this was actually the original idea which I had been meaning to finish for a while. I had most of the component parts sat on my machine for some time, waiting to be thrown together. I used the opportunity to refine a few of the shaders and generally tidy things up after the previous effort. Base meshes in Maya, sculpted and posed in zbrush, rendered in Mental Ray. Textures, compositing and post work in Photoshop. Comments and crits welcome.
He's a little older here than he was back then (partly as a result of the reference used, but also because I quite liked the craggier looking face.
